Second water burst affecting Malahide

 Irish Water is working with Fingal County Council to carry out urgent works to restore water supply in parts of Malahide following a second burst on a watermain in the area. Crews are working to repair the burst watermain in the area as quickly and as safely as possible in line with COVID-19 protocols.

Whilst every effort has been made to maintain supply to as many as possible through reconfiguring the network some homes and businesses in the following areas may be impacted by disruption to their supply while the repairs are underway; Back Road (from Railway Line to Kinsealy Lane junction; Kinsealy Lane; Ashwood Hall; Brookfield and surrounding areas. The watermain repairs are expected to be completed by 8pm tonight. 

Once the repairs are successfully completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored. Full water supply may take 1-2 hours to return as water refills the network.

Commenting on the repairs, Tselo Tlou, Irish Water said, “Irish Water understands the inconvenience when an interruption to supply occurs occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to carry out repairs and restore normal supply to impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible. "
