Temporary ‘Do Not Swim’ Notice will be lifted at Velvet Strand Portmarnock
Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
Fingal County Council will be lifting the Temporary ‘Do Not Swim’ Notice which was erected at Velvet Strand Portmarnock on Wednedsay June 17th due to possible effect on water quality due to the storm water overflow at the pumping station, likely to be as a result of the heavy rain event locally.
Further testing took place on Thursday June 18th, and the results of laboratory analysis were excellent.
