Unlock 30 minutes of free fun with Fingal Pass

Fingal Pass

Fingal County Council have supported Bleeper in officially launching Fingal Pass, which allows individuals to enjoy 30 minutes of their cycle trip for free. Bleeper operates a fleet of shared pedal bikes across Fingal, which can be hired by the public using the Bleeper smartphone app.

The shared bikes can be hired from, and returned to, dedicated parking zones which are highlighted on the map in the Bleeper app. These parking zones correlate with the locations of public cycle parking stands and amenities such as public transport stops, community facilities, and local shops. Those who wish to avail of Fingal Pass may travel outside Fingal, or between different areas within Fingal, but can only end a trip inside a Bleeper parking zone.

When you use Fingal Pass, the first 30 minutes of each Bleeper trip will be completely free, and you will be charged the normal hire fee after 30 minutes. Fingal Pass applies to Bleeper pedal bikes only.

Mayor of Fingal Cllr Brian McDonagh said ‘’I am delighted to see Fingal Pass become available to our residents. It is a fantastic incentive to get people on their bikes and encourages healthier lifestyles. With brighter days upon us, I hope that the people of Fingal take advantage of this opportunity to choose active travel.’’

Director of Services for Environment, Climate Action, Active Travel and Sport at Fingal County Council, David Storey said ‘’ A key focus for Fingal County Council is encouraging more people to choose active travel for journeys. With the introduction of the complimentary Fingal Pass, as well as the widespread provision of Bleeper operating zones throughout Fingal, it makes it easier for our citizens to prioritise cycling as an accessible and convenient mode of transport’’.
