No Barbecues permitted in Fingal Parks

Fingal County Council has taken the difficult decision to prohibit barbecues in all Fingal Parks for the remainder of 2021.

This decision is based on the recent experiences with large and smaller groups arranging to meet for BBQ’s in our larger and busier parks.

Park Rangers have reported increased incidents of alcohol consumption and the management of some very challenging behaviour.

With a busy summer expected in our parks and for the safety and peace of mind of all the park users it has been decided that the safest way to manage this situation is to prohibit all BBQ’s.

Picnics will continue to be permitted and the matter will be monitored over the summer months and reviewed at the end of 2021.
