Social Visit to Vienna Report
KORALE community rail second stop: Vienna, Austria
The second exchange meeting of KORALE took place in Vienna in December 2024 with an “International Forum against Loneliness” organised by Social City Vienna in collaboration with the Women’s Health Office and Strategic Health Care Goals Unit of the City of Vienna.
The aim of the forum was to provide an opportunity for local and international organisations to network, exchange innovative strategies and solutions and promote cross-sector collaboration to develop sustainable solutions. Presentations by representatives of the Interreg Europe KORALE project showcased successful initiatives in Europe. Four local initiatives in Austria were explored in detail with visits to some.
“KORALE” (Knowledge on Preventing and Tackling Loneliness from Public Policies) is a pioneering European initiative under the Interreg Europe program. It aims to improve public policies by exchanging good practices and integrating multi-faceted approaches to address and prevent loneliness in regions in Austria, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium and Denmark.
