Open House Dublin expands into Fingal with an exciting line-up of events on 14-16th October

Expert-led tours of the innovative Fingal County Hall (designed by Bucholz McEvoy Architects with Building Design Partnership) and behind-the-scenes access to the conservation works at Swords Castle and Malahide Castle are among the highlights of this year’s Open House Dublin, the Irish Architecture Foundation’s flagship annual festival, which this year is expanding into Fingal for the first time.

Monitoring aircraft noise around Dublin Airport

The Aircraft Noise Competent Authority welcomes the addition of three noise monitoring terminals by daa to its network of noise monitoring stations in the communities around Dublin Airport.

Transboundary Environmental Public Consultation –Awel y Mȏr Offshore Windfarm, approximately 10km off the coast of North Wales

On 24 September 2021, the Minister for Housing, Local Government & Heritage, received a transboundary EIA screening statement in relation to the proposed Awel y Mȏr Offshore Windfarm, which was conducted on behalf of the Secretary of State at the pre-application stage. The transboundary screening process identified potential transboundary issues for Ireland relating to impacts on fish, shellfish, marine mammals and sea birds and commercial shipping.

Fingal Festival of History 2022 Launched

Fingal Libraries sixth annual Festival of History was officially launched by the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Howard Mahony, at Swords Castle and will run from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th October 2022 across a number of Fingal Library branches and will culminate in the History at the Castle Day at Swords Castle on Saturday 15th October.

ESB Bleeper eBikes Roll into Fingal Locations

ESB and Fingal County Council came together this week to officially launch the ESB eBike pilot project across three Fingal locations in conjunction with leading micro-mobility provider Bleeper, research partner Trinity College Dublin, innovation partner Dogpatch Labs and co-funding partner Interreg North-West Europe.
