You'll be digging in the sand and searching in rock pools for plants and animals. Participants will learn about marine litter and the importance of a clean beach, climate change & dune restoration.
An historic day as the first ever WBSC two-stage tournament got underway at Balbriggan All Weather Field in Fingal-Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday on the opening day of the XVII WBSC Softball World Cup Group A.
Balbriggan Beach is set to become a hub of sporting activity with the introduction of brand-new volleyball nets, a first for Fingal County Council. This exciting initiative will encourage community engagement, promote an active lifestyle, and support the growth of volleyball in the area.
The Women’s Softball World Cup Group A, will be held in Bremore Castle, Balbriggan from July 11th to 15th 2023. Ireland’s national women’s softball team will be joined in Group A by the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Botswana and Chinese Taipei, with some of the biggest names in the sport descending on Fingal to take part in the competition.

Balbriggan African Group will host an event Presenting Africa as a continent and not a country through cultural exchange, folklore, storytelling, arts, music, food and costume at Flemington Community Centre, Balbriggan from 11am - 5pm
