Fingal County Council is supporting ReUse month this October. ReUse month gives us a chance to be creative in our thinking and to identify any opportunities for ReUsing materials that might otherwise be disposed of.
Fingal County Council are delighted to announce the launch of the Battle of the Book in the Chapel at Swords Castle this morning Wednesday 16th October.
Combustible materials (beds, sofas, wooden doors etc.) will be accepted free of charge at Fingal County Council’s Recycling Centres for the residents of Fingal on the following days:-
Fingal libraries are delighted to work with Age Friendly Ireland and other libraries across the Country to develop our libraries in an Age Friendly way. Minister, Michael Ring, Department of Rural and Community Development officially launched the National Age Friendly Libraries Recognition Programme last week in Dublin.
Fingal County Council along with two other local authorities and Age Friendly Ireland piloted the ACORN tablet with members of Older People’s Councils. Minister Ring officially launched the findings from the ACORN Pilot Project last week.
On Thursday 3rd October 2019 the Fingal Greener Communities Awards were held in County Hall, Swords. This important competition has over the years enhanced Fingal County Council’s relationship with residents, community groups and individuals of the county.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Eoghan O’Brien, and Interim Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly, were on hand to officially open two brand-new Skate Parks in Skerries and Balbriggan last Friday, 05th October.
