The Vintage Picnic festival was a fantastic fun-filled afternoon, packed full of workshops, activities, music & dancing. It was a celebration of creativity, music, and camaraderie specifically designed to cater to the vibrant generation of over 55's in Fingal.

Fingal County Council is delighted to welcome the appointment of Senan Turnbull as the new chair of Fingal’s Age Friendly Alliance. Senan has a wealth of experience of volunteering from local to national levels including charities, sports, community and local development organisations.

Fingal Arts Office in partnership with the Tyrone Guthrie Centre and Age and Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival are delighted to announce Colette Cullen and James English as the recipients of the Fingal County Council, Tyrone Guthrie Centre and Bealtaine Festival Residency Award.  This award aims to celebrate and support older artists at all stages of their careers working in literature and visual arts.

Fingal County Council has launched a third Cycling Without Age location as the scheme for older people and those with mobility issues starts operation in Skerries this week.

Fingal County Council gathered volunteer drivers, local Councillors and representatives from partners Local Link and GoCar in Skerries last week to celebrate the relaunch and expansion of ‘Community Car’ service.
