Be Winter Ready
The 2024-2025 BE WINTER-READY Information campaign has been launched by the Government.
Be Winter Ready 2024/2025 provides advice to the public on preparing for and overcoming the difficulties which the winter months can present.
An information leaflet provides advice on road safety, flooding, farm safety, mental health and severe weather during the winter month. The campaign highlights the ‘whole-of-government’ approach being taken to winter preparations. It aims to provide advice and information to the general public on issues which may affect them during the winter months in Ireland, such as how to prepare for severe weather, where to source information, and personal actions that can be taken in order to become more resilient in their winter readiness.
Advice on driving during the winter months and periods of severe weather is provided under the important theme of Road Safety and Winter Driving - Plan, Prepare, Be Aware. and reinforces the need for all road users to be vigilant and prepared for the weather.
More information can be found in the campaign Leaflet and Booklet, which are available below.
