History of the Balbriggan Courthouses with Local Historian David Sorsenson

Time: 6:45pm – 7:45pm

Balbriggan Courthouse has been a dominant feature of George's Square for more than 170 years. However, to date very little information on its history has been placed in the public domain. David’s presentation traces several courthouses in Balbriggan, with emphasis on the current building, looking at how and why it came to be built on its present site. A sample of some of the court cases held in the building, both minor and serious, will be examined. This event is suitable for adults. Booking via Balbriggan Library
