Tá ullmhúcháin ar siúl i Sord d’Fhleadh Fhine Gall 2019
Cuirfear féile chraic agus cheoil saor in aisce ceithre lá ar siúl i gCaisleán Shoird agus ar an bPríomhshráid mar chuid de thríú Fhleadh Fhine Gall bhliantúil.
I ndiaidh do na sluaite sult a bhaint as an bhFleadh Cheoil i nDroichead Átha le déanaí, tá fiú níos mó ceoil agus scléipe ar na bacáin don fhéile i Sord. Beidh an fhéile ar siúl ó Déardaoin, an 5 Meán Fómhair go dtí Dé Domhnaigh, an 8 Meán Fómhair.
Is i gCaisleán Shoird a bheidh an chuid is mó den imeacht ar siúl agus beidh ceolchoirmeacha saor in aisce ar siúl le Banna Céilí Chill Fhionnúrach, Ulaid, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Moya Brennan agus Cormac de Barra, John Spillane, The Dixie Micks, Meath Beo agus go leor eile.
Déanann an t-imeacht ceiliúradh ar an traidisiún láidir ceoil i bhFine Gall, agus béim ar rannpháirtíocht agus seinm, ceardlanna saor in aisce ina measc. Beidh Rinceoil ón Ros agus Inis Rua ó na Sceirí ag seinm, chomh maith.
Déanfaidh ‘Turas Seisiún’ a bhealach fánach timpeall an bhaile agus beidh meascán de cheol á sheinm agus seisiúin oscailte ar siúl um thráthnóna agus istoíche.
Freastalófar ar theaghlaigh agus leanaí Dé Domhnaigh, ach go háirithe, agus beidh Ióga do Leanaí agus ranganna Damhsa Ghaelaigh don Teaghlach ar siúl in Ollphuball an Chaisleáin. Déanfar ceiliúradh ar an nGaeilge nuair a fhillfidh John Spillane, a chanfaidh na hamhráin Ghaeilge atá ar eolas againn go léir i Séipéal Chaisleán Shoird Dé Sathairn ó 12.30pm ar aghaidh
Dúirt Méara Fhine Gall, an Comh. Eoghan O’Brien: “Táim ag tnúth leis an gceol iontach, an t-atmaisféar álainn, agus an fháilte ó chroí a chuirfidh Fleadh Fhine Gall roimh gach duine a fhreastalaíonn air. Imeacht eile i bhFine Gall ar chóir freastal air a bheidh sa Fhleadh, a bheidh ar siúl i gCaisleán stairiúil Shoird go príomha.

Swords gearing up for 2019 Fingal Fleadh as line up and schedule announced
The third annual Fingal Fleadh will see Swords Castle and Main Street host a four-day, free-of-charge festival of craíc agus ceol.
With crowds fresh from enjoying the Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda, the Swords festival promises even more music and fun. It runs from Thursday, September 5 to Sunday, September 8.
Swords Castle will be the key venue for the event with free concerts featuring The Kilfenora Céilí Band, Ulaid, Liam O’Maonlai, Moya Brennan & Cormac de Barra, John Spillane, The Dixie Micks, Meath Beo and many more.
The event celebrates the strong tradition of music in Fingal, with an emphasis on participation and performance including free workshops. There will be performances from Rinceoil Rush and Inis Rua - Skerries.
A ‘Session Trail’ will wind its way around the town featuring a mix of performances and open sessions during the afternoon and night.
Families and children will be catered for on the Sunday in particular, with Yoga for Kids and Family Irish Dancing classes held in the Castle Marquee. Irish will be celebrated with the return of John Spillane singing Irish songs in Swords Castle Chapel Saturday from 12.30pm.
Mayor of Fingal Cllr Eoghan O’Brien said: “I look forward to the fantastic music, great atmosphere, and warm welcome that the Fingal Fleadh will bring to all who attend. With the historic Swords Castle as the centrepiece, the festival will be another Fingal event not to be missed.”
