100 Wishes

100 Wishes by Bernie Leahy was commissioned for Ballyboughal National School using some funds associated with the school’s facility upgrade.The project consisted of three parts, A series of weekly workshops with the students where they were invited to draw depictions of things which they wished for. Then 12 of these drawings were printed onto glass panels with each forming a stepping stone and installed in the schools front lawn. The remaining wish drawings were taken by the artist and embroidered to form a large fabric “wish panel” which hangs in the school along with portraits of all the children which took part.A small publication is available on 100 wishes from our office.
