Swords Summer Festival set to return to Swords Castle
Fingal County Council are busy putting finishing touches to this year’s Swords Summer Festival, which takes place next week.
The Festival runs from Thursday, July 18 and runs until Sunday, July 21 and will feature a wonderful array of musical and comedy acts over the course of the weekend at the magnificent Swords Castle .
On July 18, Lightening Comedy featuring many talented comedians such as David Gilna, Paul Currie, Christina McMahon, Robbie Forde and many more will be held. This event is in aid of Aware and tickets are currently on sale from www.eventbrite.ie.
On July 19, Forever Young showcasing The songs and Stories of Rod Stewart will be held in the Castle and is sure to be a hit with many of the musical legends fans around Fingal. Tickets for this event can be purchased from the Fingal Tourism office at Swords Castle.
Hothouse Flowers, along with special guests Jerry Fish and Eoin Glackin, will take to the stage on July 20 to round off events on the last day of the Summer Festival. Tickets to attend Hothouse Flowers are available from www.tickets.ie.
In addition to the events in Swords Castle, there will be family fun and entertainment in Swords Town park which is adjacent to the Castle. This will run from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21. It will feature craft stalls, bouncing castles, brass bands, Vikings and more. Perfect for a family day out.

It is a great opportunity for Fingal residents and visitors alike to see what Swords has to offer and attend a selection of events in the stunning venue of Swords Castle.”
