Heritage Week

Heritage Week 2021 Launched

Open the door to heritage is the message from the Heritage Council as National Heritage Week 2021 is launched.  Culture and heritage groups, as well as communities, families and individuals in Fingal are invited to get involved and celebrate and share heritage. National Heritage Week will run from Saturday, 14th to Sunday, 22nd August, and has become one of Ireland’s largest cultural heritage events.

Howth

Coastguard Safety Signage Howth Completed

Fingal County Council are delighted to announce, in partnership with the Irish Coast Guard and Howth SAAO Committee, that a new safety initiative for Howth has been completed. The innovative network of safety signage is now in place on the Howth Looped Paths walking trails.

New Dublin Bay Biosphere Award launched

Thhe Dublin Bay Biosphere Award is a new three-part programme developed by Scouting Ireland and the Dublin Bay Biosphere Partnership. Children, who successfully complete the programme, will earn a badge which can be sown onto scout uniforms, school bags or clothing in recognition of their efforts to protect local wildlife.
