Fingal County Council has welcomed the news that all eight applications from Fingal to the Community Monuments Fund have been successful with a total of €270,000 awarded.

Fingal County Council has commenced a  programme of public toilet improvements in four regional parks and the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr David Healy, recently opened the first at Millennium Park Playground in Blanchardstown.

Open the door to heritage is the message from the Heritage Council as National Heritage Week 2021 is launched.  Culture and heritage groups, as well as communities, families and individuals in Fingal are invited to get involved and celebrate and share heritage. National Heritage Week will run from Saturday, 14th to Sunday, 22nd August, and has become one of Ireland’s largest cultural heritage events. 

Fingal County Council are delighted to announce, in partnership with the Irish Coast Guard and Howth SAAO Committee, that a new safety initiative for Howth has been completed. The innovative network of safety signage is now in place on the Howth Looped Paths walking trails.

Rush has been selected to take part in the Irish National Practice Transfer Initiative (NPTI), which is funded by the EU URBACT Programme.

Primary Schools across Fingal are to receive a weather station rain gauge as part of an effort by Fingal County Council to produce more detailed rainfall records for the county.

Members of Draíocht’s Dublin 15 Youth Theatre presented two unique poetry works created following a weeklong- residency with poet, performer and playwright FeliSpeaks - Felicia Olusanya. Their project forms part of Fingal’s Cruinniú na nÓg Programme 2021 and was publicly presented on Saturday 12th of June.

Fingal County Council Arts Office in partnership with the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) School, are offering an opportunity of a funded studio space for a professional artist.

Thhe Dublin Bay Biosphere Award is a new three-part programme developed by Scouting Ireland and the Dublin Bay Biosphere Partnership. Children, who successfully complete the programme, will earn a badge which can be sown onto scout uniforms, school bags or clothing in recognition of their efforts to protect local wildlife.
