Fingal County Council Sports Office has launched it’s 2020 Youth Sports Grant Scheme, supported by Sport Ireland.  The Scheme is to enable clubs to fund the purchase of additional equipment. 

Fingal County Council welcomes the news that two former councillors of Fingal County Council were appointed as Ministers of State to the new government as announced yesterday.

Irish Water, working in partnership with Fingal County Council, is progressing with new connections to the existing watermains that feeds Skerries in order to safeguard the water supply to homes and businesses in the area.

While works are ongoing customers in R127 Balbriggan Road, Kelly’s Bay, Northcliffe Heights, Mourne Close, Selskar Avenue, Millhill Park, Greenlawns, Newtown Parks, The Hoar Rock, Harbour Road, New Street, Church Street, Millers Lane, Shenick Avenue, Golf Links Road and R128 will experience water outages from 8:00pm on Monday 6 July until 8:00am on Tuesday 7 July.

The Fingal In It Together Charter was launched in Howth by Fingal County Council, three of the county’s Chambers of Commerce and Shop Malahide.

The innovative work carried out by the staff of Fingal County Council helping young and old during the Covid-19 crisis will be highlighted on #YourCouncilDay, which takes place on Wednesday July 1.

The Estuary Recycling Centre is reopening at 1 o'clock today.

The closure was unavoidable due to electrical damage caused by torrential rain on Saturday afternoon. 

Fingal County Council welcomes the news that three former councillors of Fingal County Council will serve as ministers in the new government as announced by An Taoiseach Micheál Martin last evening.

Following consultation with the HSE and the fact that there has been no overflow arising from expected rainfall and therefore the potential impact to water quality did not occur, the Prior Warning Notice has been removed from Velvet Strand, Portmarnock.

Fingal County Council supports the call for applications for the 2020 Green Enterprise: Innovation for a Circular Economy by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in partnership with the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment and invites businesses and innovators interested in applying for this funding to partner with Fingal County Council on eligible projects.

 Irish Water is working with Fingal County Council to carry out urgent repairs to restore water supply in parts of Balgriffin. Crews are working to repair the burst watermain as quickly and as safely as possible.
