Irish Water is progressing with watermain improvement works in Skerries

Irish Water, working in partnership with Fingal County Council, is progressing with new connections to the existing watermains that feeds Skerries in order to safeguard the water supply to homes and businesses in the area.

While works are ongoing customers in R127 Balbriggan Road, Kelly’s Bay, Northcliffe Heights, Mourne Close, Selskar Avenue, Millhill Park, Greenlawns, Newtown Parks, The Hoar Rock, Harbour Road, New Street, Church Street, Millers Lane, Shenick Avenue, Golf Links Road and R128 will experience water outages from 8:00pm on Monday 6 July until 8:00am on Tuesday 7 July.

Following consultation with the HSE and the fact that there has been no overflow arising from expected rainfall and therefore the potential impact to water quality did not occur, the Prior Warning Notice has been removed from Velvet Strand, Portmarnock.
