At a special four-hour meeting of Fingal County Council tonight councillors voted by 31 votes to 9 to approve the disposal of 28 hectares of land at Ballymastone, Donabate, which will lead to the construction of up to 1,200 social, affordable and private homes.

The route will operate from Castleknock through Blanchardstown, Coolmine, Clonsilla and Hansfield to the Fingal County boundary with Kildare.
