Fingal County Council is delighted to announce the launch of the Fingal Heritage Plan 2024-2030. The launch, by Mayor of Fingal Cllr Aidan Henchy in the company of Minister of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien T.D. took place on March 1st 2024 in Malahide Castle.
The Fingal Heritage Plan 2024-2030 sets out a vision for protecting our shared heritage for all the people of Fingal. The plan is underpinned by the principle of shared responsibility for heritage as connecting with and celebrating our heritage in all its diversity, promotes well-being and adds to our sense of belonging.
The Plan is set out under six strategic objectives, along with actions and potentials projects that were identified in consultation with the community and a wide range of stakeholders. It is a cross-sectoral plan to be implemented by many groups, agencies and organisations involved in the care, protection and management of heritage in Fingal.
