Malahide Water Supply Scheme works 24 March

Irish Water progressing with works as part of the Malahide Water Supply Scheme safeguarding the water supply to homes and businesses in Malahide

(23 March 2021) Irish Water working in partnership with Fingal County Council is progressing with works at the Malahide Road / Mountgorry Way Roundabout as part of the Malahide water supply scheme in order to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in Malahide and surrounding areas. The works are being delivered in adherence to current government and HSE Covid-19 advice.  

These essential works may result in a disruption to supply between 9am and 5pm, tomorrow, Wednesday 24 March.

Irish Water and Fingal will reconfigure the network to minimise the impact on homes and business. However, customers in the following areas may be impacted by lower than normal water pressure:

Swords to Malahide Road; All of Ashley Estate; Chapel Lane; Clifford’s Lane; Mount Gorry; St Werburgh’s; All of Waterside Estate; Drinan Enterprise Centre; All of Lissadel Estate; Whitegables; Dunard; Chamley; All of Seabury Estate; Castle Downs; Warren Manor; All of Gainsborough Estate; All of Killeen Estate; Talbot Estate; Millview Estate and Road; Gaybrook Estate and Lawns; Abington; Lawson Spinney; Dublin Road Malahide from Sword Road to Back Road; Back Road from Dublin Road to Railway Bridge; All of Ard Na Mara; Sea Road; The Heaven; Yellow Walls Road; Texas Lane; Chalfont; Sonesta; Inbhir Ide; Bissett’s Strand; Drynam Road and Court; Foxwood; Milesian Estate; Feltrim Business Park; All of Holywell Estate; All of Feltrim Road; All of Drinan Estate; All of Drynam Estate; Muileann Estate; Kettles Lane; Russell’s Terrace; Streamstown Lane; All of Streamstown Estate; Carey’s Lane; Clairville Lodge and Auburn Grove. 

Update Wednesday 24, 3.30pm

Some additional areas have been impacted by these works including; Main Street, Swords; North Street, Swords; Seatown; New Court; Lissenhall; Estuary Road and surrounding areas. Irish Water regrets the impact caused on customers in these areas.

Whilst unlikely for the majority of customers, it is possible that some customers may experience water outages during the works. Once the works are completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored. Full water supply may take a number of hours to return to all impacted properties as water refills the network. Low pressure may be experienced until later this evening.
