Prohibition at Rush North Beach and Prior Warning at Portmarnock Lifted

In the latest Bathing Water Quality results from sample taken on Monday 17th July, 2023 Velvet Strand Portmarnock and Rush North Beach met the standard of 'Excellent' water quality.

In the latest Bathing Water Quality results from sample taken on Monday 17th July, 2023 Velvet Strand Portmarnock and Rush North Beach met the standard of 'Excellent' water quality

Following consultation with the Health Service Executive agreement for the removal of the following notices from the following beaches has been confirmed;

Velvet Strand beach, Portmarnock (Prior Warning) and Rush North (Prohibition).

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
