Works underway on the Turvey Ave Footpath Enhancement Project

The works will involve construction of a new footpath on the northern side of the road where no footpath currently exists. The new footpath will provide a continuous and safe walking route along Turvey Avenue for people walking to and from Donabate Village and train station.

The works also include drainage improvements, widening of some of the existing footpaths, resurfacing the road and adding new line markings, speed ramps and signage.

Please see attached drawing below that shows the new road and footpath layout that will be in place when the work is complete.

The works will take place at:

i) Turvey Avenue

ii) Turvey Drive / Turvey Avenue Entrance

The works are expected to take approximately 26 weeks to complete, ending in late Summer.

While the works are underway, there will be traffic management in place. Priority Construction will make every effort to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, but some traffic delays can be expected.

The public should allow extra time for journeys through the area and Fingal County Council thanks you for your understanding and patience while we complete these important upgrades.
