Fingal County Council, supported by the National Transport Authority (NTA), has launched 2 public consultations seeking feedback on proposals for new cycling and walking infrastructure on Seatown Road and at Newtown Bridge, Balheary Road, Swords.

Fingal is piloting digital twins to enhance public consultation on major public realm projects such as the Swords Cultural Quarter and Balbriggan Quay.

The launch of a new TY course will help develop girls’ football and will help further strengthen the player pathway for them. 

Swords is a growing and vibrant town with a large population. There are a number of Active Travel projects underway in Swords.

Fingal County Council is proposing to widen the footpath across Newtown Bridge, reduce traffic to one lane crossing the bridge and provide a cycle lane.

Fingal County Council is aware that households in the Fingal area who may have received a notice to quit from their landlord may be worried or unsure of what to do.

Fingal County Council will close a section of the pier at Skerries Harbour from tomorrow, Friday, after a survey found significant corrosion and large voids in the sheet piles that form the berthing face on the quay wall of the outer harbour.

Seatown Road to Malahide Estuary Road Safety, Cycling and Walking Improvements 

Fingal County Council has issued tenders for the re-surfacing of two existing car parks and associated site works in Bremore Regional Park, Balbriggan. They are at Bremore Castle, Drogheda Street, and at Bath Road, beside the Balbriggan FC clubhouse.

On Wednesday, 5 April Fingal County Council and Dublin City Council are holding a pop up Cycling Without Age Event in the Phoenix Park.
