Fingal County Council’s Local Enterprise Office is committing all its resources to help Fingal businesses survive the current Coronavirus crisis.

In line with Government guidelines in relation to Coronavirus COVID-19, all GAA and Soccer fixtures have been cancelled, and all team training has been prohibited, until April 19th at the earliest. All Fingal County Council Pitches are therefore deemed unplayable until then. 

All 10 libraries in Fingal and the mobile library service as well as 15 community centres owned by Fingal County Council will close from this evening until March 29 in line with Government requirements to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19

Irish Water and Fingal County Council wish to advise customers in Balbriggan and surrounding areas that they may experience disruption to their supply as works are carried out to safeguard the water supply in the area. Works are required to allow water storage reservoirs in the area to refill and to improve water pressure issues being experienced at some locations.

Fingal was pushed into the international media spotlight this week when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent an afternoon in Howth as part of their first official visit to Ireland.

Fingal County Council has announced funding of €288,000 to 43 groups and organisations across Fingal under the Festival and Events Funding Programme 2020.

The second phase of construction works on the Aviation Fuel Pipeline on Stockhole Lane/Clonshaugh Road will commence on Monday. A major traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the construction works.

Balbriggan residents are being asked to illustrate their love of learning in a competition to launch a three-day festival to celebrate education in Ireland’s youngest town.

Fingal County Council are delighted to announce the opening of two new playgrounds in Balbriggan.  The Bandstand playground near the Martello Tower and Quay Street playground were officially opened by Mayor of Fingal Cllr. Eoghan O’Brien in the company of Fingal Chief Executive AnnMarie Farrelly.
