Everything Is in Everything (2017)
Everything is in Everything began in 2016 when Fingal Arts Office and Superprojects joined forces to initiate a collaborative commission between Artists Clodagh Emoe and Jenny Brady, and students from Hartstown Community School. The project began in earnest with creative discussion and workshops in the school in 2017. The students visited exhibitions at IMMA, and welcomed writer Sue Rainsford in to speak with them about creating narratives in artwork. The artistic outcome of this project is an evocative moving-image artwork ‘The Butterfly Effect’, which considers causality and regret in modern life.
Waves, Connecting Young People, Art and the Political (2016)
As part of the Fingal 2016 Centenary Programme, Fingal County Council’s Arts Office worked in partnership with Fingal Curator Cleo Fagan, founder of Superprojects*, to provide a unique arts-in-education initiative for two post-primary schools in Fingal. The project explored the multiple layers of meaning and contexts associated with the 1916 Easter Rising and the commemorations in 2016. Place Shapers (2013)
Young people in Fingal teamed up with architects and a film maker to investigate the architecture and urban design of their own neighbourhoods. Transition year students from Luttrellstown Community College in Dublin 15 and Skerries Community College worked with architects Robert Bourke, Maria Tarsouli, Kate Dowling and Myrto Dowling and filmmaker Peter Kelly. Supported by this creative team, the participating students gained a deep understanding of architecture, urban design and film, which equipped them to critically appraise their built and natural environment.
