Fingal County Council was established in 1994 after Dublin County Council was divided into three local authorities. It is one of four local authorities serving the County of Dublin. The others are Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
Fingal County Council aims to provide a wide range of quality services and facilities from roads infrastructure to parks, open spaces, community centres, libraries and housing for all residents of Fingal.
As part of these services, providing a transparent and accountable local authority is of critical importance in terms of the work of the Council and the trust citizens place in it.
