TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS IN SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN
Fingal County Council has made an order temporarily closing roads in the Swords area for the purpose of holding a Fingal 10k race. It is proposed that the roads will be closed from 6.30 am to 12.00pm Sunday 17th July 2022.
The roads in question are:-
• Main Street Swords - 6.30 – 12 noon
• Bridge Street - 6.30 – 12 noon
• North Street (southern section)- 6.30 – 12 noon
• Swords By Pass (northbound) - 9.33 – 10.10
• Ennis Lane - 9.42 – 10.30
• Windmill Road - 9.48 – 10.40
• Balheary Road - 9.51 – 11.00.
• Watery Lane - 9.57 – 11.10
Northbound R132 Swords Bypass Lane will be closed between 9.30 – 10.30, Sunday 17th July
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:-
Malahide Diversion
Traffic to divert at Pinnock Hill roundabout onto R125 onto Montgorry Way, then right onto R106 Malahide/Swords Road
Northbound Diversion
Traffic from R132 turn left onto Naul Road, right onto R108 to Ballyboughal, then right on R129 to Blakes cross and R132
Glen Ellen Road
Local access only, Traffic for Applewood divert to Ardcian Park and R125
Rathbeale Road to Swords
Traffic divert at Brackenstown Avenue
Brackenstown Road to Swords
Traffic divert to Brackenstown Avenue
Balheary Avenue
Local access only, traffic to stay on R108
New Dairy Lane
Local access only for Swords, traffic to stay on R108

Diversion signage and Traffic Management Marshals will be in place for the duration of the closure and pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be facilitated by local traffic Management Marshals.
